The glasses on this listing are used to protect the operator’s eyes when working with tattoo removal lasers. Having only these glasses, you protect yourself against the light beam of the 532nm and 1064nm lasers. They are made of transparent filter material in class OD4+.
They are marked according to EN 207
The glasses on this auction are used to protect the operator’s eyes when working with lasers:
Nd:Yag (1064nm)
Nd:Yag Q-switch (1064nm).
LED 805, 808, 810, 940, 980nm
Er:Glass 1550nm
other in the ultraviolet and visible light range 190 - 540nm
The glasses are made of filter material in class OD4+ absorbing the light range of lasers operating in the range of 190 - 540nm and 800 - 2000nm).
Permeability level for the corresponding laser light according to OD class:
OD 0 = 100% transmittance for a given wavelength
OD 1 = 10% transmittance for a given wavelength
OD 2 = 1% transmittance for a given wavelength
OD 3 = 0.1% transmittance for a given wavelength
OD 4 = 0.01% transmittance for a given wavelength
OD 5 = 0.001% transmittance for a given wavelength
OD 6 = 0.0001% transmittance for a given wavelength
OD 7 = 0.00001% transmittance for a given wavelength
Safety glasses for laser devices are a protective element necessary to work with laser devices. Our offer includes various glasses, designed for use with different types of laser devices, such as m.in. CO2, ND:Yag, LED or IPL and Elight cameras. Suitable glass, providing filtration within a certain range of radiation, protects the user's eyesight from damage as a result of laser energy.
There are two types of laser effects on the eye:
Laser light in the range from ultraviolet through visible light to infrared also illuminates the inside of the eye. The interaction of infrared laser light causes retinal heating and destruction of photoreceptors (m.in. diode lasers, alexandrite, Nd:YAG, Er:Yag, ER:Glass, YVO4). Invisible radiation below 400 nm and above 1400 nm is largely absorbed by the cornea and lens of the eye, causing damage and leading to burns and cataract development. A person exposed to laser action - especially invisible to the human eye, may be completely unaware of its harmfulness. Lasers carry such strong energy that even radiation scattered or reflected from the surrounding surfaces is dangerous to the eyes.
Invisible radiation from lasers such as CO2 Nd:Yag, Er:Yag, Er:Glass is particularly dangerous because it does not trigger a blinking reflex that shields the eyes. This is because the eye’s defense mechanism only works in the visible light range and is effectively deceived by lasers emitting invisible rays (infrared and ultraviolet).
